Get to know Ms.Ramirez

At 22- years of age, Yaneth is profoundly rooted into the mosaic culture of Memphis. Where she grew up and attended MSE Mendenhall in 2013-2014. Having a deep connection and resonance to her community has significantly shaped her identity as she believes Memphis has shown her the power of rising from humble beginnings, and climbing the ladder to achieve her dreams. She began her first job experience at 15 and continued to gain experience in multiple work fields, which provided her with a diverse skill set and a strong work ethic.

Initially, Yaneth didn’t have a clear college plan, but a pivotal moment of clarity changed her course. She realized that writing had always been her true passion, a spark that was first ignited by her early enjoyment of writing activities in elementary school. Looking ahead, Yaneth plans to pursue a degree in Communications and Journalism to further her passion for writing and literature. Beyond her love for writing, she treasures the art of reading others' work. She finds that immersing herself in different authors' perspectives and experiences provides valuable insights and a deeper understanding of diverse viewpoints and lives.

As an empath and suicide prevention advocate, Yaneth is inspired by the quote, "I believe in the kindness of a stranger." This guiding principle reflects her own experiences, where the unexpected kindness of others has profoundly influenced her life and personal growth. Her life experiences have fueled her desire to make a positive impact, and she is deeply motivated by the need for support she has witnessed in society. Yaneth strives to embody this kindness believing that every encounter is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

She is a proud sister to two younger siblings, whom she considers the people she loves the most, and aims to be a role model for them. In her free time, she loves to unwind by the Memphis River during sunset hours. The peaceful scenery inspires a lot of her poetry centered around growth and self-reflection. She also enjoys taking walks either alone or with Milo-her energetic 1 year old yellow lab. Additionally, Yaneth enjoys exploring her creativity through arts and crafts, finding relaxation and joy in watercolor painting, acrylic painting on canvas, and coloring.
