Mugire Ayci-Assistant Executive Director

Mugire Ayci leads Memphis School of Excellence, where he oversees the academic, culture, marketing and community outreach work that shapes students' daily experience. His focus is straightforward: strong teaching in every classroom, a school culture where students feel known, and families who feel welcome and informed.

His career began in the classroom as a science teacher, and that perspective still guides his work. Over 12 years with charter school operations experience in Texas, he grew from teacher to instructional coach, then to district leadership roles in curriculum and gifted education, and finally to principal of one of the network's largest campuses, where he led a team of nearly one hundred educators, expanded extracurricular and STEM opportunities, and worked closely with parents and the PTO.

Since joining MSE in 2021, he has supported the school's growth through steady stewardship of its people, operations, and academic programs. Under his academic leadership, MSE campuses have continued to send every graduating senior on to college, and schools increased their TVAAS scores year after year.

Ayci holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration, superintendent and principal certifications, and  Certification in Education Finance from Georgetown University (CEF), also Mr. Ayci is a certified human resources senior professional (SHRM-SCP).
