Greetings!
Kelsey Adams is one of Memphis School of Excellence’s very own; a 2017 graduate. She attended MSE years 2013 through 2017. During her years there, she excelled in her courses, with Math and English being her favorites. She acknowledges Memphis School of Excellence as it assisted her in developing a strong academic foundation and a passion for business.
During her 11th grade year, she persevered to maintain her school work while she worked a job and managed her own small business. Operating the small business gave Kelsey motivation to go bigger and better, which ultimately led to her enrolling in a Business Administration program. Her dedication, self sufficiency, and hard work paid off when she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in September 2022. That following month, Kelsey gave birth to her pride and joy, baby boy Elijah King. As a devoted mother, she takes great pleasure in educating her son and ensuring that he exceeds his growth and development. Kelsey’s ambition drives her to continually seek opportunities for growth and advancement that will create a bright future for herself and her son.
She even enjoys gaining knowledge on holistic remedies to keep her and her son happy and healthy. Doing so, she’s become infatuated with herbal remedies, plant based meals and essential oils. She’s heavily inspired by African cultural heritage, and expresses so by occasionally dressing in headwraps and using African based skincare and haircare products. She envisions owning a natural and multicultural inspired shop one day.
She wants the youth to understand the importance of character, reputation, intelligence, and success. She’s very proud to be a MSE alumni and hopes her experience can make an impact on current and future students and their families.
